At Redemption Roasters, our mission is to reduce reoffending by training people in prison and supporting them into work in our coffee shops on release.


We’re looking for a full-time Assistant Shop Manager for our Islington High Street coffee shop. You’ll help lead a team, deliver an outstanding customer experience, and play a massive, front-line role in delivering our social mission.


What we’re looking for:

  • Positive Leader: Motivates and leads by example, encouraging the team to deliver an exceptional hospitality experience.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensures our coffee and food are always prepared to the highest standards in both taste and presentation.
  • Commitment to Excellence: Maintains rigorous health & safety, food hygiene, and allergen practices.
  • Eye for Detail: Keeps the coffee shop well-presented and inviting.
  • Dependable Support: Acts as a reliable backup for the Coffee Shop Manager.

Skill Sets

  • Operational Knowledge: Strong hospitality experience with an understanding of the coffee shop’s operational and financial goals.
  • Training and Development: Passionate about training team members and fostering their growth.
  • Management: Capable of deputising for the Coffee Shop Manager, managing the team and operations in their absence.
