Our vibrant independent café nestled in the heart of Mayfair (Central London), is seeking an experienced Manager to lead a fantastic team of baristas. Role Overview:
As Café Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful operation of the café. You will be at the very heart of the café….setting the tone, inspiring your team and delivering exceptional coffee experiences. Whether its leading service on a busy morning shift, mentoring your next superstar or refining your guest experience, you’re at the centre of it all.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, motivate and inspire a team of passionate baristas, so that everyone performs to their absolute best. Encourage and create a vibrant and welcoming environment for both your team and customers. Manage daily operations to ensure that our expected standards are delivered to every single customer, each and every day. Take ownership of the café’s financial performance, driving revenue and efficiency. Schedule staff rotas and approve timesheets using Deputy. Oversee stock management and ordering to ensure the café runs seamlessly. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, quality and service. Train and mentor new staff, fostering a positive and team-focused environment. Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Work closely with the owners to align the café with the company’s vision.
What We’re Looking For:
Passion for coffee and a deep understanding of coffee preparation and equipment. Proven experience in a management role within a fast-paced coffee environment. Hands on leadership skills with a passion for hospitality, and an understanding that great leadership leads to great people. Passionate about delivering an unrivalled customer experience. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable nature. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of financial indicators with the expertise to enhance profitability and optimise café performance. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure. Strong understanding of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards. Confidence in making decisions and leading independently.
Reporting Line: Reports directly into Business Owners
Contract: Full-Time/Permanent
Competitive Salary: £30,000 - £34,000
