Seeking a passionate Head Barista with experience in specialty coffee and hospitality to join our unique coffee and car destination!

Podium Place is a destination like no other, fuelled by our very own in house speciality roastery (Podium Coffee Roasters) we have a one of a kind coffee shop and event space surrounded by the worlds finest supercars. we prioritise quality and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will be a real coffee lover who is a collaborative team player with a keen eye for detail with strong customer focus and organisational skills. Working as part of our cafe team you will ensure we deliver exceptional coffee and customer service. Working alongside our Head of Coffee you will uphold our quality standards and lead by example,

Key Responsibilities/Requirements:

• Coffee Preparation: Is a speciality coffee enthusiast, has a deep understanding of what makes great coffee… extraction, milk theory and brew methods etc.

• Working with our Head of Coffee and Cafe Manager to uphold standards at all times, and to assist with quality checks and training where necessary.

• Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and supervise the barista team to ensure consistency and quality in every cup.

• Customer Service: Create a welcoming and friendly environment for all customers, going above and beyond to provide excellent service.

• Quality Control: Maintain equipment and ensure cleanliness of the coffee bar, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.

• Menu Development: Assist in developing new and seasonal drinks, keeping up with customer preferences.

• Shift Management: Lead by example, ensuring smooth operations during peak hours and overseeing the day-to-day coffee on shift

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of barista experience, ideally with some leadership or supervisory experience.

• Coffee Knowledge: A thorough understanding of coffee, brewing methods, and equipment and what makes great coffee.

• Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high standards in every aspect of the job, from coffee preparation, customer service and all aspects of hospitality.

• Customer Focused: Friendly, personable, and dedicated to providing outstanding customer service.

• Availability: you will be required to work weekends and some holidays.

This is a full time role for 40 hours PW
